There are many different paths you can take when it comes to going to Canada. But how to decide which one is right for you? That’s what I’m going to go through in this post. So if you want to go to Canada, but have no clue of how just keep reading.

If you want to experience the Canadian culture and nature, or if you’d like to improve your French or English language skills, you should consider staying in Canada for a couple weeks. For this, you might need a temporary residency visa or simply and electronic authorization – this will depend on the country where you are from.
Depending on your country of residence, you might have an opportunity to join a Work and Study program or even a Work program.

So the first thing you have to decide is what you’re actually going to do while in Canada. If you want to visit or study for up to 6 months, you’ve got to apply for an e-TA or Visa, depending on your country of citizenship.
If you’d like to stay longer, engaged for example in a long-term study program, you will need a study permit.
For both study and visit, you can apply to extend your stay if you’ve decided to stick around a little longer.

But if staying permanently is your idea, which I’m not going to judge since it is pretty damn easy to fall in love with this amazing country, then applying for immigration is what you’re looking for.

Immigration in Canada has many different programs that can lead you to become a permanent resident, such as provincial programs, the federal program, professions on demand, graduates…Wow! That’s a mouthful.
And if you’d like to know more, no worries. I plan on posting more about immigration soon, but subscribe to my newsletter, that way I know you guys liked it and want me to write more about it.

For now, you can check a bit more on my Immigration Canada post.
